The Vaults in Kelowna, BC is a high-end private storage space for clients who want their most valued belongings kept in a secure, managed and monitored setting. Each vault is designed around what it holds, so it can be as much a place to enjoy a collection as a place to store it.
In one of the vaults, a private collector wanted to store and display a collection of rare cars with the feel of a museum. Greenlite Glass Systems supplied a LITEFLOOR interior glass floor above the display level. Visitors can walk over the collection and look down at the cars below, like looking into a life-size shadow box.
The glass floor is made of multiple panels that together feel like a glass bridge. It sits within a space furnished and designed by a professional design team, with all-glass handrails looking through to the lower floor and a glass-enclosed wine cellar, so that every visit feels special.
